Our Baby Unit is situated on London Road, overlooking Victoria Park, in easy reach of Leicester City centre. It provides a caring environment for children aged from 6 weeks to 4 years of age, where they are supervised by a qualified and experienced Paediatric Nurse (NNEB) and Montessori teachers.
The children are stimulated at an early age, and are offered a rich variety of activities each day. The unit has secure gardens which offer an ideal play area. During the summer, the children can also be taken on excursions outside of the unit.
The unit opens at 7.45am, offering care until 5.30pm throughout the year. Between these times, full or part-time sessions are available to suit the needs of the family.

The Classroom within the Baby Unit offers a rich and fulfilling environment to those children between two and a half and four years of age.

The Montessori Method is effective through its encouragement of freedom within a well structured, child-centred classroom, and results in early reading and writing and an advanced level of general knowledge. It helps children with mathematics, geography, and the environment. The materials used help children become secure, and develop concentration. We nurture the children to enjoy the process of learning.

Recent evidence has indicated that the children within our school are developing reading skills between two and three years in advance of their age.
