2009 - 2010

01 April 2009 to 01 April 2010 - Wishes 4 Kids

All student and staff rasied £1500 for Wishes 4 Kids.

February 2010 - British Heart Foundation

Students and staff at the Sixth Form raised £47.30 for the British Heart Foundation with a ‘Wear It Red’ day.  All staff and students made a huge effort to dress in something red and in all honesty it really was not a pretty sight!  However everyone at Sixth Form is more than happy to let their dress sense go out of the window in aid of a good cause. Well done everyone!

29th June 2007 - Grammar School Garden Party

All children and staff at the Grammar School had lots of fun celebrating the end of term and the Centenary of the Montessori method of education on 29th July.

The children all enjoyed the non-uniform day and were very excited to see bouncy castles in the play area but were even more excited to see two huge Sumo Wrestling suits waiting to be filled in the play area.

There were lots of stalls that were set up, such as the nail painting stall, mendhi stall, a miniature golf course with a pie in the face competition and much much more!

There was lots of food, drink and a "100 years" celebratory cake that was enjoyed by all. The day was a fantastic way to end a fantastic year at the Grammar School.

4th May 2007 - Centenary Celebrations 2007...

The 4th May saw the release of hundreds of gold balloons from the Leicester Montessori Nursery Schools in celebration of the Centenary Anniversary of the Montessori method of education.

All children and staff at the nurseries taking part on the day, signed their name to their individual balloons and dated them. The balloons were then released simultaneously in to the air for the public to find.

We asked anyone who found the balloons to please call us so that we could find out just how far our balloons had travelled.

A BIG THANK YOU to all of you have rang so far. The results will be published on the website soon.

Special guest Keith Vaz, attended the celebrations at our Loughborough Road Nursery. Mr Vaz also signed a balloon and released it with the others. After the balloon release, a tree was planted in memory of the Centenary. The day ended with everyone enjoying a piece of the huge celebratory cake!
